The UF-IS202GPD-SFP series is an industrial-grade, compact Gigabit Fiber Media Converter engineered for harsh environments and flexible edge deployment. Featuring a unique 2-Port 100/1000Base-X SFP slot and 2-Port 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 Ethernet interfaces, this device provides seamless, high-speed optical-to-copper media conversion with automatic speed negotiation.
Designed with versatility in mind, the unit functions as a PoE Powered Device (PD) via its dedicated PoE IN port, drawing power directly from an upstream IEEE 802.3at PoE switch or PoE Injector. This eliminates the need for a local AC/DC power source, drastically simplifying installation in remote or space-constrained areas.
UF-IS202GPD-SFP can realize the optical line 1 + 1 redundancy protection in point-to-point mode via the DIP switch, it can provide Optical Port automatic protection switching. Via the DIP switch, the UF-IS202GPD-SFP can be configured as 2-port redundant media converter. When in the 2-port redundant mode, it provides rapid fiber redundancy of link for highly critical Ethernet applications. The redundant mode also supports auto-recovering function. If the destination port of a packet is link-down, it will forward the packet to the other port of the backup pair.
Housed in a ruggedized, fanless industrial enclosure, this mini media converter delivers rock-solid reliability, making it the perfect solution for IP surveillance, smart city traffic control, and industrial automation networks.
