The UF-IS202GPD-EX is an innovative, industrial-grade Gigabit Fiber Media Converter engineered to provide high-performance network extension and versatile power-delivery at the network edge. Featuring a 2-Port 1000Base-X SFP slot and 2-Port 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 interfaces, this device seamlessly bridges long-distance optical fiber backhaul with local copper networks.
UF-IS202GPD-EX series can realize the optical line 1 + 1 redundancy protection in point-to-point mode via the DIP switch; it can provide Optical Port automatic protection switching. Via the DIP switch, the UF-IS202GPD-SP-AT can be configured as 2-port redundant media converter. When in the 2-port redundant mode, it provides rapid fiber redundancy of link for highly critical Ethernet applications. The redundant mode also supports auto-recovering function. If the destination port of a packet is link-down, it will forward the packet to the other port of the backup pair.
Designed as a high-power PoE Powered Device (PD), the unit draws its operational power directly from an upstream IEEE 802.3bt PoE switch or injector via its dedicated "PoE IN" port. This advanced architecture completely eliminates the need for local AC/DC power outlets, drastically lowering deployment costs and simplifying installations in outdoor, remote, or industrially harsh environments.
Setting a new standard for edge power management, this device integrates PoE Passthrough (Extender) functionality. Through its specialized hardware architecture, it delivers up to 30W IEEE 802.3af/at PoE output via its secondary RJ45 port to power standard PoE edge devices like IP cameras.
Housed in an ultra-compact, fanless IP40 aluminum enclosure, this media converter ensures rock-solid data and power transmission under extreme temperatures, making it the ultimate all-in-one solution for smart city surveillance, wireless backhaul, and industrial automation.
